How long does it take my account to become active?

The account says:

Pending Hosting Account Signupsubmitted September 6 at 6:22 pm

action status Process wait
information Your hosting account signup is currently awaiting processing or executing within our system queue. Its status is displayed above and will be updated upon clicking the submit below.

It might take up to 36 hours to activate depending on how long the queue is in the system.

Still pending approval...Was the request for new accounts lost during buro downtime?

I haven't heard anything about the new account requests being lost. But having one of four servers offline will tend to cause problems.

Considering your username, I hope you read the T.O.S. especially sections like

* File Hosting Every file on your site must have to do with the website you put up, we are not a file storage service and we strictly prohibit scripts such as torrentflux or rapidleech.
