My account has been suspended for password protecting the site. I have tried to log into the cPanel however my username and password fails so I am unable to remove the .htaccess password.

I enabled .htaccess password protection as I am currently learning PHP and did not want to inadvertently upload code which was publically accessible and could leave your hosting vulnerable.[FONT=&quot]

Secondly I don’t quite understand why I was able to use .htaccess function on my hosting if its use would violate the terms of use?[/FONT][FONT=&quot]

[/FONT][FONT=&quot]I am happy to remove the .htaccess if I can log into the cPanel or provide you with the .htaccess login details in order to review the content of my site.[/FONT][/FONT]

When staff is checking your site. It is password protected. So you are suspended that means till your account is unsuspended you can not access the files.If you agree to remove the password protection then the staff will unsuspend you.

Yes I'm more than happy to remove the password. It was in place to protect your hosting rather than my content.

Hi,

Your account will be unsuspended shortly. Please removed the Password Protection as soon as possible.
The reason we do not allow password protected sites is that it can be used to hide illegal content.
