Yesterday I could log into cpanel and view files to my forum but could not log into forum or even get it to appear. I was getting a white screen with a message saying to try later. I just thought it will come on later.

Today everything has gone. If I try to log into cpanel this comes up straight away,

If I try to goto my site I get a 500 internal server error. I'm on Stoli and my address is http://www.ronin.exofire.net/index.php I'm surprised I could get on the forum, lol.

I have managed to get into the cpanel so that is working, ftp is working but I still cannot access my site on stoli and still get the 500 error. Is there a problem with the URL?

Just to update again I can get into my account, cpanel and mt ftp program works great. But my forum still does not connect. I'm getting the error message

'Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.'

I have noticed through mysql in the databases that there are two databases there but I have only one forum. Is it using the wrong database?

Try re-linking the user and database with all permissions. and make sure int.stoli.x10hosting.com is on your remote hosts.

int.stoli.x10hosting.com is in my remote settings. This is OK? when you say re-linking the user with the database this is done by just adding the user to the database with all permissions yes? If so I have done this also but still the error message.

Sorry, it was a typo.. You have to remove the user from the database and re-add it with all permissions.

Doesn't work. I have a repair settings tool provided by smf, it doesn't fix anything but tells you where there are problems and it says mysql connection settings are wrong.

I have the mysql server as 'localhost' Is there a server location I can try?

I have managed to get a new user in the mysql database and there seems to be no errors but now when I try to connect to the site it says internal server error

I have tried different settings and have added a new user to the database and it shows now there is no apparent errors but still i cannot connect, i get a internal server error error, 500.

i do not know if this information is any use but I have just tried to delete my database username and then re add him, only I could not re add him as his username was above 7 letters.

I have managed to add a new user and have modified the settings file in smf but even though the database seems ok i cannot get into the forum and get a 500 internal server error.

Please could you tell me if the site is lost now? As I said before the files seem to be there in cpanel and ftp. PHPadmin works also. When you navigate to the forum you get an internal server error.

I know I haven't touched anything this end so I assume this was down to the restore. My members have been asking to find out if the site is dead now or not, if so we can move on, Thank you.

I realise you must be swamped with requests but my members are asking if the site is gone or not and I have no idea what to do.

Have I lost my forum? I have tried everything suggested and more and still I get an interneal server error. Please let me know if you have destroyed my forum so they we can move on, Thank You.

I just wish to add for some reason the forum is working great, I have no idea what has changed but if you have done something to get it working Thank You very much.

Members on my site are going to upgrade to your paid server in the near future, Thanks again.
