hey i've got a question,

i think i've done it before, anyway i just created a new page on my website (http://neptunerevival.x10hosting.com) and i'm trying to add a copyright sign at the bottom of the page. I try inserting "&copy" and i also have tried just actually clicking the symbol button while in the html editor and adding it, but when you view it, it just shows up as a question mark with a box around it, my archive page (http://neptunerevival.x10hosting.com/web/default.htm) has a copyright symbol at the bottom of the page, but i can't seem to get a copyright symbol on my new page.

thanks in advance!

yes, that's the one i want, but did you go to the first site, it'll come up with some question mark in a diamond, and what is the "alt-0169" for, where do i input that or w/e?

Well if you are using &copy then you're missing the ;

It should be ©

If you're talking about the copyright symbol on the right of your home page, it is displaying fine for me. In web applications © will display the copyright symbol.

Hold ALT and press 0 then 1 then 6 then 9 on your KEYPAD (not the digit keys on the keyboard). Make sure your Num Lock is ON so the keypad works ;)

Well, then it must be the font you are using because I'm using firefox and the © at the bottom of this page is working prefectly. I've never had a problem with it.

i'm viewing this in IE now on a different computer, and it still shows a question mark, not the actual © symbol

He means encoding, by how the explorer displays the coding. Right click, then like choose encode format or something, i forgot how it was in IE.

ya, alright thanks, i just fixed that and it is showing up ok, that's wierd though because it was showing up when i edit it in the html editor, but not when it was actually published, thank you for the explanation, PSP-Heaven
