I've added my own custom domain from another registra... it is pointing to your servers... all credentials were entered correctly or so I believe... but I still get a "503 Login Authentication Failed" every time I try logging in with my FTP client (ForkLift).

I have triple checked all info entered and still have had no luck (see attached screenshot).

Can anyone help?

Can anyone help?
-
enter the host name ( or server ) which is ftp.yourdomain.x10.mx (replacing [ yourdomain.x10.mx ] with your account's domain) and the username and password is the same as your cPanel ones
###
-
you must disable the option for multiple connections otherwise x10hosting's firewall may block you

CAUTION: your IP can be blocked by x10hosting's firewall - for too many "Failed" FTP logins in a short period

I'm sorry. It didn't work. Now I may be blocked.

Let's try this. Think of me as an absolute idiot or noob...
Now, can you be a bit more clearer and specific?

Using Your Example...

SHOULD:
ftp.yourdomain.x10.mx — be replaced with — ftp.yourdomain.x10hosting.com
{{ as x10hosting indicates in the attached screenshot }}

OR:
ftp.yourdomain.x10.mx — be replaced with — ftp.yourdomain.x10host.com
{{ as it does connect via the browser }}

OR:
ftp.yourdomain.x10.mx — be replaced with — ftp.yourdomain.com
{{ as one might assume from your example }}

Further, are you aware that entering ftp before the address is redundant in most FTP clients?

OK... I GOT A BETTER IDEA...

Can You Just Fill In The Info Below?

PROTOCOL?
FTP or FTP (TLS)

SERVER?
exactly as it would appear in an FTP app's field
(( see attached screenshot }}

USERNAME & PASSWORD?
are there instances where registering for a cPanelID
can cause conflicts on the server, especially if the
username and password are different?

{{ in such case, which one should be used }}

PORT?
yes am aware it should be 21
but should it be in passive mode?

REMOTE PATH?
may I assume that I can use public_html/yourdomain/
or is it better to just use public_html

{{ and just navigate over to your desired directory }}

ENCODING?
Western (ISO Latin 1)
Unicode (UTF8)
ASCII

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP

ONE WEEK LATER, NO ONE CAN ANSWER MY QUESTION?

It's said:
"those who can't handle small matters can not handle bigger matters"

I have seen x10 staff members respond to different requests on this forum, but I guess my requests must be too trivial to a company as prestigious as x10.

I would rather go to some other paid host than try your ""premium service.""
I will delete my account. Thanks.
