Adding a FreeDNS subdomain

Hello!
I'm attempting to add a subdomain as an addon domain from freedns.afraid.org onto my account. The A record of the subdomain is pointing to the shared IP address of x10. Unfortunately, whenever I attempt to add the addon domain, it states that the subdomain is pointing to another server. Yes, I have also waited longer than 24 hours after changing the A record. What can I do to remedy this?

Edit: This worked perfectly fine last year.

We have changed our requirements such that you need to set the NS (Nameserver) records to x10's nameservers for any addon/parked domains instead of just an A record.
