Am wanting to host a site to be able to play MP3s of music that I've composed and recorded myself. The copyright is not registered, per se, but I own it, since I wrote it.

I have 3 questions:

1) Will x10hosting.com allow me to upload mp3s?

2) How do I go about dealing with the "permissions" issue re: use of the music? Do I still have to do that, even though it's mine?

3) I plan to play the tunes on my site by inserting the html code suggested on this site: http://www.macloo.com/examples/audio_player/ Do you think this will work?

Thanks!

If the music is yours, not copyrighted by a major company label and you own the rights to it then we have no problems with it. We just do not allow mp3's that are copyrighted..

We do not allow any copyrighted music if you don't have permission (not just big companies)

You probably need php version 3.

You are going to have to wait and see if a admin tells you to upgrade.

That IS allowed. Upgrade to intermediate PHP and see if it works for you. Please re-open if further assistance is needed.
