Ads On Smf

Install the "ad Mod" What version of SMF are you using. ?? SMF 1.1rc3 is due out soon so if you are running SMF 1.0.7 I suggest you upgrade to SMF 1.1rc2. However the ad mod will work with a 3 versions of SMF. You can fins it here:

Umm, the first link I gave you goes right to it. I don`t think you searched for it cause you don`t have to search for it. It`s the first link.

It seems you (Plinkous) are posting a LOT about ads on smf. It's, not that hard, lol. On the right side of the first link geoff gave you, they list each mod corresponding to what version of smf you are running. If you installed fairly recently, you would have version 1-5, so go here: http://mods.simplemachines.org/index.php?action=download;mod=255;id=14386

To run the mod, ftp it to somewhere in your smf directory (or anywhere you want, actually), and run its install.php. Then, there will be a tab called 'ads' in your control panel of smf. Simple.

DO NOT ftp it. Use the package manager in the admin panel to install it. It will install to the default theme. The other link that I gave you is to the support forum that I help with where I have posted all the edits for both versions of SMF (1.0.7 and 1.1rc2) So you can get it running on any other theme you would like. Very very easy to do. Also if anyone runs into any other problems with SMF feel free to check out the site I have just put together for it:

i tryed to add this mod and i get this error message

The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.

any idea as to what else i can do

what version of SMF are you using ???

EDIT: I saw you are using SMF1.1RC2 Use this version of the Ad mod.

ok got the ad mod installed last night and copied the ad scritp in to the feild for the script in the ad mod ..

now i have a new problem ..

and it is that for some reason i can not see any ads on my site and i checked every check box in the ad mod that they had to display the ads ..

but still no ads ..

can someone from the this site give me some help with every thing else is running just fine ..

I have made changes to the ad code so it does work. However the ads will only show on the default theme until you edit the template files for the theme you are using. All the edits can be found here for that version of the ad mod.
