ADs with Xoops

Hey, I am using Xoops content management system for my website and I can not find a way to get the banner AD onto the spot where the banner goes. It wants a image instead of the code I was given so I was wondering if there was an image banner I could use instead of the ADs by Google code.

EDIT: I am going to try Wordpress instead.

If your adding them in wordpress, find header.php. In most themes, theres a part that says **put add codes here**.

can someone give some help as to where i should place the ads code so as i can get up and running ...
