Advanced ads in joomla?

I've been trying for a couple of hours and I still can't get the 'advanced' ads to show up on my site. I am using joomla and I was wondering if anyone could help me. I don't want to put the corporate banner thing in there because I need the advertisement space thing for something.

Somewhere in the admin control panel, you should be able to add something like HTML codes into the website. Look around and try things (experiment) - the worst that can happen is your site becoming distorted.

If you would like an accurate run down of steps, you should try a forum such as http://forum.joomla.org/ as people there would specialise in helping with these sort of issues/problems.

'Create a module for it. In the CP select Module - Site Moules - the New

On the Wysiwyg editotor select HTML and paste your text in the popup

Give it a name

Select the position you want it to go (just under Title Block)

Select Publish then Save it

You should now see it on your page'

I just added it to 'includes/footer.php' and it worked fine.
