All my redirects have been deleted?

hi there everyone

not really a problem more a question?

i set up 3 redirects from my main old site to land on my joomla home page

but logged in tonight and theyve gone ?

i set the redirects up as temporary redirects and wondered if the kinda self delete after a

certain lengt6h of time.

ive re-done them as permenent redirects now ?

anyone know what could have happened?

If you set up redirect via the cPanel, it uses .htaccess and mod_rewrite.

If you deleted .htaccess for some reason, that would remove the redirects.

yes i did remove the .htaccess file from the main index.html folder yesterday evening !
