Hi,

I read and apply what is telled by Correy at http://forums.x10hosting.com/news-announcements/18143-how-link-your-forum-account-cpanel.html

I created a foum account: groscon
I modified both forumm and account emails to: groscon [AT] jihell [dot] com

My free-ad account at x10hosting would be: groscon
(curiously shows grokon on account caracteristics. Maybe from an another attempt I tried to create a valid linked account ?)

At my registrar, I changed the dns to point the domain " groscon.info " to x10hosting.com DNS just as below
Serveurs de nom

DNS1: ns1.x10hosting.com
DNS2: ns2.x10hosting.com

It seem forum account and hosting account are linked but I desesperely cant accesse Cpanel

wathever I enter as username to access cpanel (groscon or grokon) either i get an error message telling me that an error occured OR now, after changing dns to point groscon.in to x10hosting dns, I get a timout error when tryang to access http://groscon.info:2082

Please, can correy or another great admin or account manager can see that ?
I also would like to have my accouint named grocon and note grokon.
Can u do that for me or may I have and can manage to delete myself both my account and forum account ? (I dont think so)

Thanks in advance for your help.

(sorry for my poor english!)
Best regards JLS

Try clearing your cache. If that doesn't work try flushing your dns. I see the cPanel fine here -> http://groscon.info:2082/

If you are having trouble logging in I can change your password and you can try again. In order to change the account name you will need to request termination here -> http://forums.x10hosting.com/upgrades-downgrades-changes/ and then go here -> http://www.x10hosting.com/logout.
Once this is done you can then sign up for a new account and link it to the existing forum account.

Thanks for these reactive and good answer.

That seem to be OK? I can now access cpanel
Probably after dns propagation..

But I have understood that if I whant to change account name I have to ask for a deletion of the actual "grokon" in the subforum ?
Then recreate a proper groscon account and relink it to my groscon forum account.
Is that right ?

Another thing (i know this thread might not be the best to ask this question but if someone can answer it would be really appreciated ...
Can I put googleads on my actual adfree plan ?

Thanks a lot !

I think we can change your account name without having to terminate your account, but let me find a staff member that can verify that.

As for Google Ads, yes. You may have the ads on your account if you wish.

I've changed your hosting account username to: "groscon".

I've also sent you a new cPanel password for your hosting account. Remember that you should login by: http://groscon.info:2082/ , with the username: groscon

If you still can't login, try to login by: http://74.86.116.187:2082/
