Always shown alert box when addon domain

This problem appear when I tried to add an "addon domains"

"Your domain name must contain at least one period"

what is the domain you are trying to add

Are you typing the full domain name (SLD and TLD together.. EG: "sld.tld") into the input, when you try to add a domain?
