I want to install WordPress but I saw in an x10hosting forum thread that I need to upgrade to v2 to access all functions. I kindly request an upgrade to V2.

You are talking about PHP? php version on all server is same, and it can`t be change.

Also you can install wordpress with this version.

Just to clarify, the post you found has to be around 1.5+ years old by now - x10hosting no longer uses the Basic (V1), Intermediate (v2), Advanced(v3) php package thing. You should be good to go from the start.
