Hello.

My fiance got the Nintendo DS for Christmas and one of the games was Animal Crossing : Wild Worlds.

I did some searches online for information on the game ( like help guides. ) The official site is near useless. It says you can have a Barber Shop and a cafe thing ... and when we started playing it ... neither are in our town. :(

I remember seeing someone that had the game on here, asking for friend codes, and I'd be happy to give mine to someone to help us to understand this game a bit better.

A. Like when do we get the barber shop / cafe ( or do we? )
B. When do you get new neighbors? ( Or do you? )
C. When do the neighbors offer jobs for you to do for them?

Right now, all I can do is dig for fossils, sell fish and fruit. Seems a bit pointless.

a) Buy stuff from Nook's shop - the more you buy, the more $$$ he gets to upgrade. If memory serves, he'll upgrade a total of three times.

The third one is the tricky one - again, if memory serves, you need to have someone else visit your town and buy SOMETHING from his shop (could be new furniture, or as small as 4 sheets of paper, so long as they buy something).

They neglected to put that part in the manual, and it's the major reason I didn't keep my copy. If you can, find someone who has it, and have them visit your town to buy something. The nice part is you shoudln't have to have them buy it from the latest upgrade possible - they should be able to buy it when it's nooks cranny (the first building he's using), and with every building after, and you'll still be able to upgrade to the hair salon.

b) Depends. If the town is in good shape, it'll be a while. If you do what I did and screw up the town royally, you seem to get a new one every week XD

c) Seems to be random, just chat them up every day.

And for your side comment about selling fish, fossils, and fruit, why do you think I sold my copy? I was expecting it to be more fun than I found it to be XD

It's missing a key collectable as well - the nes cartridges from the GCN version.

This might be a good document to have as well: *snip, whoops*

WARNING: Filesize is somewhere between 600 and 700kb. Not big in the sense of normal filesizes, but it's a TEXT document. It's huge - 11,885 lines long. If it ain't in there, you probably don't need it ;)

And I got most of my info from being pissed at ACWW and looking it up on google about a year ago - some of it might be a little off, but it should be mostly correct.

Good luck!

Edit: Oh, and one more thing, I started playing it at about 8am the day I got it, and I had bought enough in that day to get nooks upgrade the day after. Don't be surprised if you can't really play the game tomorrow because Nook's closed for upgrades (LLLLLAAAAAAAMMMMMMEEEEEE!)

Thanks. :)

Yeah, Cynical ( on here ) asked for friends to play and at the time, i didn't have the DS or the AC:WW game. ( Its actually my fiance's - she got it for Christmas ) ... and now, I dunno if they are even around. :(

I did send a PM, but we'll see.

I haven't found many forums that seem "friendly" ( Most have dipwads that just want friend codes so they can destroy your town )

Most of my friends are broke or worse and aren't even into games like AC. So its hard to get them into it. Well, I may just save my $$ and get myself a DS and the AC:WW and just play it with my fiance'.
