There was a recent post re 404's on Perl scripts: I'm wondering if I may be running into the same problem?

I uploaded a trivial print-env-vars script into my cgi-bin directory, chmod'ed to 755, and got 404 when I tried to access it. The url is:

http://indigo.x10hosting.com/cgi-bin/printenv.cgi

Any ideas? The recent post seemed to suggest some kind of config issue, but maybe I'm doing something really dumb.

Thanks!

Al

PS. My account is add-free & url is indigo.x10hosting.com. Is there more
info I should include when I post? Apologies if so (am new here).

Many thanks for the very fast reply!

I followed the instructions for account-linking about 12 hours ago, reaching the point where I'm supposed to wait a few hours. I don't think the accounts are linked yet - shall I continue waiting?

Thanks again,

Al

If you updated your Email in cPanel than you should try to link it again. After updating it, it can take a few hours for our backend to recognize it.

Sorry to report that I've not been able to link hosting/forum accounts. It's been 18-20 hours since I fixed the contact-email address in cPanel so that it accords with the email adr in my forum account. But maybe more time is needed.

Something that concerns me is: when I get to the "Link Your Hosting Account" page via x10hosting.com/account, the text reads: "In order to use the Ad-enhanced hosting account management panel, you must have your account linked...". But my account is an Ad-free account. Could this be significant?

Anyway: Username for both forum and hosting accounts is "alcramer". Contact email adr for both is "kalo@kalo.cnc.net". Hosting account is add-free, with url: indigo.x10hosting.com.

Again, aplogies for hasseling you with this. Maybe I just need to wait.
