I had a fairly similar question to Zdroyd had in the thread "Delete all unneeded files on cpanel...", although I am not restarting my account. So, are all the files in my File Manager that I didn't create needed?

i.e., Do I need files such as "robots.txt", "error_log", and "postinfo.html"? Also, do I need the folders? Like "_private", "cgi-bin", and "_vit-text"?

If I do need any of these files/folders, then which ones? They aren't taking up any considerable amount of space, but they are cluttery, and I don't like cluttery.

Thanks in advance (and sorry if this post's/thread's question WAS answered in the aforementioned thread and I misread it.)

Not all of the default directories and files are necessary, however, it is advisable that you do not alter/delete these, as they provide core configuration and integration features for your account.
