Are they obsolete

I just wanted to run a few polls to see what you guys thought. Are these o/s's obsolete ?

i think that windows 95 is obsolite i actually think all 3 of them are, but 95 more than the others... windows me on the other hand, hardly was a stable OS and it never really got used and only a very small amount of computers have ME, i dont think and companies use it either...

also i know that some componies still use windows 98, which is stable but is not nearly as good as windows 2000 (pro included) for companies and stuff.

best bet is windows xp and pro, most companies are changing to it now, as is most home users, because it is just easier, and of course, it comes with all the new computers.

I think Windows 95 Is the most obslete. Then 98 1st edition. 2nd and Me are still used so we can't bother those.

well i would say 95, and the 1st ed of 98 are. 98se is still a pretty good system.

i use xp now as well as linux.

Win 95 is certainly obsolete and reminds me of 3/4 floppies..

I hate XP even tho I have it, It trys to Auto-detect to many things and sometimes get it wrong that why I like 2000 better, but I think all of them are obsolete, 95 probably the worst of them all a bit infront of ME.

According to microsoft both 95 and ME are obsolete.

However MicroSoft has had its support services for 98 extended to 2007. If memory serves me correctly.

They all are obsolete to me, excepting maybe as Richard said Win98, and I think a PC with WinME can work ok, but Win95 is totally obsolete.

win95 and winme are obsolete
there are practically no progs for win95
and winme has too many internal system problems..

98 is probably the best OS out there actually.. (well the 2nd edition anyway)
i just prefer xp since it looks nice [shrug]

bigguy, you shouldve made it a check list, not a radio button list

windows 98 was the most stable in my opinion but I use windows xp mce 2005 because it runs fast and it has support for most new games that are coming out.
