ASP support URGENT !

Do i get asp support ?? i was trying to upload an asp file through front page (via ftp), but i got a msg saying that it won't work because the server i am uloading to does not support asp ... what should i do ?

Just wondered if you found out as i am having exactly the same problem as it says that x10 DOES support ASP

no i haven't found out yet *cries*. i've been planning this website for ages, and now that colege application deadlines r drawing nearer, it struck me that i should use this as an extra curricular project since i'm totally in love with web desining...but to do that i need to get this done NOW !! ihav SAT II preps, essays to ryt and etc etc . I'm totally freaking out !! plz sm1 help me !!

Using the vBulletin search for ASP is under the 4 letter limit so any searches using it don't come up with constructive results. ASPX, ASP.net etc would I think. Googling "<search> site:forums.x10hosting.com" always yields good results though.

thanks for ue hlp Micro, and i'm sorry, i kno i'm being frustrating...but i'm such an amateur at this. u sed x10 supports aspx, shud i make aspx files with dreamweaver, since frontpage2000 only makes asp files (as far as i kno), and i can't ryt the codes myself :( but i really need to make a database link and a quary....and how do i request to activate aspx for my account ? thanks again.

SQL 2005 wont work on x10. You will either need to code the MySQL Connection code yourself (Express 2005 VWD)

Otherwise learn PHP and use MySQL with it.

Basically, MySQL is the newest and most useful version of SQL out there.

SQL is generic. Structured Query Language.

MSSQL = Microsofts SQL Server
MySQL = MySQL Database Server (MySQL AB)
PostgreSQL
