This just in AMD is acquiring ATi and TI, and the resulting company is merging with google to produce the TI-8500. 64bit processor, integrated 802.11g, full HD 3d rendering, all running on Google's recently released Googlix OS."

Just kidding. :eek:riginal:

But there is news about a possible takeover of ATi.

I hope there is an ATi and AMD merge, that will give the nVidia boys something to "laugh" about.

Right, you want Intel. Bashed by it's own users and the 64 bit community to buy out the best graphics card company? Leave nVidia to Intel.

I love my ATI cards. My last experience with Nvidia wasa FX5200 so obviously nVidia has left a sour taste in my mouth.

nVidia nad AMD are already closely related, so I dont see ATI getting bought by them and intel buying them would be the death knell for performance based ATI cards.

:(
