AWSTATS No Longer Updating

I've noticed that the last update of AWSTATS was on 2-April-08. Since this date I've not been provided with any updates. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this functionaility down for mainteance?

Awstats updates every X days, and you need to be patient, as it has to update LOTS of accounts & domains.
Can you check if it has updated for you know?

Okay, it has provided an update for 3-Apr-08- still 2 days behind. Can you advise on typical range for "x" (i.e. 1-3)?

I really don't know the time of update. As I've already said, it depends of how many domains it has to update.

Hi Fedlerner,

AWSTATs has been updated with statistics for April 6 and 7th; however, statistics for for April 4 and 5th are missing? I acknowledge that statisics updates require time to complete as a result of the numerousl accounts and domains it services.

1. What I don't understand is why the updates are not performed in sequential date order, i.e. is it not reasonable to expect April 4 and 5th to be updated before April 6 and 7th?
2. Is the status of the AWSTATs updates posted.

Be advised I'm not utilizing these statisics for any mission critical work- instead I'm just trying to understand the process.

The problem is when awstats runs it stops itself if the server load goes above a certain point then resumes later. So if someone does something on the server to raise the load awstats is suspended from running. Since there are so many accounts it will cause an issue with it being up to date if it keeps getting suspended.

I can look into raising the threshold before it's suspended.
