Backend fetch failed Erroe been going on off and on about all day

Hey I been haveing this error off on on all day today . i can not get to my ftp to the site or i can not get to the backed when i go to wp-admin on my site or my cp page or the just get to the site with out the backend . this is the error i been getting

Error 503 Backend fetch failed
Backend fetch failed

I do not know if it a server wide erroer if outer people been getting this same error but i can not connect to anything . some time if it do work i can get on butmost of the time no . if anyone can help thanks let me know what is going on
