I dunno, namecheap has rumors all the time of security break-ins. I use a little known site called domainrightnow... at the moment and I also use 1and1.com
As far as my experience is concerned. I have used following:
GoDaddy: Registration process went very smooth. Quick and fast. However site is very cluttered and very non-intutive for starters. You need to struggle around for each activity.
1and1: Registration process was painful for me (may be just me). Credit card billing address which I gave was not exact word by word and they enquired and verified and verified and verified (though I think it is good that they did so much).
However after that it was smooth. Domain management screen is very simple and very fast.
Also they are much cheaper than GoDaddy with private registration free.
Only one thing I do not like about them is that they do not register for more than 1 year so we do not know what they will charge next year. Also they keep your credit card information on record so it is there with them all the time.
I've used Go Daddy and it's a good registrar. There are plenty of coupons to save you $$.
I currently have a domain I bought at Yahoo Small Business for 1.99 a year. Renewal price is quite expensive and I hear transfering from them is really difficult. Anyone had any experience with transfering a domain from Yahoo? My domain expires soon and I wanna move it elsewhere.
Yeah Namecheap is good their domains are cheaper than other company's plus they have really fast support. I sent in a support request I got my reply within 1 hour. Did you guys hear .ASIA domains are out!
