Blank page when installing punbb

Hi,
I just registered and I'm trying to install a punbb 1.2 based forum.

The thing is, everytime I try to launch install.php it does nothing... is php running ? did I mess my root by deleting pretty much everything?

Ok, I now have an intermediate status but the install still won't work... this is basic php file. I don't understand why it won't load. Any suggestions ?

Have you looked in your error logs in cpanel ?

Yes it seems the PHP instructions aren't allowed so I've asked the higher level of PHP... wait & see

What are the errors?
The advanced version of PHP is only given with prior administrative approval.
