business server backup?

how old/recent is the backup of the business server? if i was to delete everything from my account to test a new site in the root, would it be able to be reversed?

I'll have to check but if you want to do that I'd make a backup first.

It looks like daily backup is enabled, I don't suggest wiping out your stuff on purpose though unless you make a backup to your computer. Sometimes thing can go wrong with backups, I think we had 3 or 4 that were corrupt out of 600 accounts.

ok. and the mysql, how would i redo that?

You can make a backup via cPanel.

i know how to do thatm what i mean is to restore it.

You should beable to do it from the same place you back it up from.

But beware I did that once and it did not create a full backup of it, I had like 80 tables and when I Restored it, it only had 7 tables. So what I would do is go into phpmyadmin and export it from there, just to be safe

wait a minute. what if i just renamed the same name files and folders, and then uploaded the new site and tested it? all the old site will remain intact. when im done i can just rename everything back.

You can do that I would actually just use a different database and leave the ones you have alone.

well, im not using databases for this one, strictley html

i have deleted the old site, as every thing works. now i just have to upload the content! im so excited!!!!!
