Heh, "for my basement" doesn't tell us what the PC is going to be used for. What do you need it for, what will you be doing on it? Tell us those answers and then we will be better equipped in helping you make a good decision.

And yes, Macs are terrible, I was talking about computer-wise(hardware), not the operating systems... And btw...

Oh wow, what an improvment. I can see a lot of bugs coming along here if they try and integrate windows file-system support.

Of course I am being sarcrastic, that's like basically saying... Well, Mac can't really be used for anything right now because theres only like 2 programs in the entire world actually made for it.

You say Mac is better... I say it's not even in the same league as Windows & Linux.

Think about it there running INTEL, originally made for windows. Now think about it they just changed there whole entire sytem to run on intel. That is an amazing feat. If Microsoft were to try something like that they would ----- it up so bad they would end up worse then they started. Second of all you haven't named one way a windows is better then a mac

And this is why Microsoft is $40 billion richer than apple? If that's what you want to think.

OMGz0R!!@# Incase you haven't noticed, Intel is beaten by AMD now.

Apple Chairman: Ok so after 10yrs of hard work, we've finally ported to Intel. Now for our next project, porting to AMD aswell, ETA 2016.

again you have yet to prove how a windows is better then mac. The only reason winows is 40 billion richer is one because bill gates ripped mac off and 2) they have marketed it better, but that doesn't mean a windows is better.

If you seriously want a way in which Windows is better than Mac then fine, but every reason you have given to me that Mac is better than Windows, I have chewed up and spit out because it makes no sense.

That seems long. They are in beta and are doing prety good. My friend is a tester. They where going to release it on the end of 06. Maybee im wrong. I know one thing. I cant use XP anymore! ITS TOO HORRIBLE! :crying:

they couldnt make it for this year's holiday season, so its coming out january of 2007

I've read multiple places that it has been postponed a year from its original release date. Which like you said was end of '06. Could be wrong, but I am pretty sure.
