Can I install a QuickStart Joomla package?

I have been playing around with an install of joomla that I had installed via the and I would like to install an already modified template, with components along with Joomla 3x site software. How do I do this, do I uninstall the site I have up and then use the Cpanel to upload and install? Or can I upload via ftp the quickstart joomla package and overwrite the original site??

Please advise
