By the way, I assume the file that should come up when I enter the account is index.html. Is that right

Yes. That's right. It's index.html when you enter your site. I see that the one that comes with your new account is still there. You need to either delete it and upload your own, or make sure that you overwrite the existing one when you upload your own index.hml
