Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket ERROR

I installed a phpBB3 message board on my site and it has been working just fine until today. Now, I'm getting this error when I try to access the board:
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111) [2002]

Is this something I can fix or is it a host problem?

OK, how do I contact an admin? Is that done through CPanel? When I submit a help request there, it just creates a forum posting here (which I just found out by duplicating this!)

Descalzo will take care of contacting staff, though I strongly suspect that they are already aware of the issue and working to resolve it.
Also, the free hosting support forums are the "support ticket" system for free hosting accounts at x10Hosting.
