can't link account with cpanel

I created my account yesterday with the user nam mycroft and received the activation email. I can login but i get the message that i need to link with my cpanel. I use my user name mycroft and i get a message that doesn't exist. What can i do to fix this?

I got an email to resend my confirmation, i confirmed again and got a message telling me that i'll get another mail to activate my account and i haven't received this mail. Is this ok?
