can't make website?

I wonder if this is just all too complicated for me. I have spent hours trying to get a website up and running...but run into problems everyway I turn.
Designed a website in Microsoft Publisher and tried to publish it but it says I need to change FTP proxy settings...
Tried to upload it from file manager and the writing came up on the site but no picture or graphics??

I am nearly ready to give up because there is just so much to it and I originally thought it would be a lot easier.
I am not saying that x10hosting is difficult...I think I just lack the experience to set it up??

Any help.... I will give it a few more tries and then I may have to give up

PS: I have 'searched' many posts but it just confuses me further?

You need to change the FTP (file transfer protocol) settings in MS Publisher. I haven't used it in a while so I don't remember exactly how to do this, but your details are below:

Host: deidreseigelart.x10hosting.com
Username: deidre
Password: *Your cPanel password*
Directory: public_html
