Would need to know if you are at work or home, what ISP, browser, and operating system you are using. There may be a reason you are using a proxy.

I'm at home, videotron is my ISP, chrome and Windows 8.1. Tried different fresh browsers didn't work. Checked the forums a bit and I'm obviously not the only one having this error. IMO this is serverside. Never happened with other sites nor anything.

Yes it would be server side. But its detecting a network proxy. So your isp is the network. I have Verizon wireless signed up no error messages. Your browser could be set to use a proxy or your router. Weather or not Videotron requires a proxy is unknown from information on website http://support.videotron.com/reside...-wi-fi-videotron-dir-825/router-configuration. Videotron provides to different Internet connection. Cable and WiFi.

Why x10 does not allow sign up behind a network proxy could be many reasons. But it may be as simple as your browsers proxy. Or it may be the router proxy. It may be windows 8. Which I have not had the pleasure yet. But I don't suppose its that much different network settings. I know hughesnet used a script to change my browser proxy and it was a pain to get it removed.

Hey, the site you provided, http://amibehindaproxy.com/ says: You do not have a proxy server or filtered internet activated.
Thanks for the help but please, don't say its on my side.
Multiple users are having the same problem and nobody is using a proxy.
I guess i'll find somewhere else to go.

Don't believe I did say it was on your side. Just simple pointed out where the proxies would be and the means to determine if there is a proxy.

I just signed up for a new account no errors. So its not on the x10 side. It is something between you and x10. Good luck!

Hi Bergy, we've had a few false-positives for the proxy check - the issue you're experienced here. I've made some changes for your IP address that should have the problem resolved. Please try again and let me know how it goes.
