connecting to remote mysql

Hi

I have two forums and they are sharing same sql in the freemysql.net

currently, I cann't connect to the remote sql form this host.

could you please help me?

can you give a little more detail?
did you change the config file? if you want your forum to access a remote sql db you probably need to change the config file where it says "localhost" to the remote host.

If you already did that probably the page ip in which you created the db is not in the x10 firewall.

But probably the best thing you could do is to transfer your dbs to the local server.

yes I changed the config file .

my forums were conneted before with same sql and they worked fine.

but now I cann't connect to the remote sql form this host!

maybe there was a change in this host

I need the static IP of where you're connecting to, to allow it in the firewall.
