Cool thing....

Hey everyone! Been a long time since I posted... I know. But, its all good.. Anyhow, just wanted to let you in on something. I am sure that at least ONE person uses SHOUTcast on here, but I have found somthing better. After waiting and waiting to get SHOUTcast fixed, I decided to look elsewhere. I found something called Streamer P2P. No, don't think illegal, think cool. Since my computer is NATed and Firewalled by the modem, it gets me a proxy, and allows me to broadcast anyway, pretty cool! Anyhow, I found it very easy to setup, unlike SHOUTcast, and am on it right now broadcasting.


It simple requires a download then you can begin listening, or broadcasting, whichever you want, using just that program, and, say, WinAmp.

I happen to have a site were I have DJ's and such.. www.habvalues.com, and shoutcast is a pain. I hate it and need somthing eles I'm looking into this thanks man!

Yea, kinda like PODCast. Not exactly, but kinda. Basically, Streamer P2P is a internet radio broadcaster, that is free. Using something like winamp (winamp.com) you can play songs on you station. Or, you can have a talk show, etc.... YOU CHOOSE! It's good because it is better than SHOUTcast, because it is SO easy to setup.

I'm looking at it and it says somthing like you have to download to listin, which kinda sucks.

Very Nice. I think this is going to be good for all of us. When they all switch over this will have problems then ShoutCast will be better. Thanks for the link.

Yea, like SHOUTcast, you have to dowload the program to listen and/or DJ. I explained that in the post. It's free and has no spyware, adware, etc.

I know shoutcast! I am gonna run it for my gaming site soon with the latest info on my private servers
