Couple of PS questions

I've noticed quite a few very nice sigs on this forum so i'm just wondering what all you graphically inclined individuals are using for your brushes, actions, and filters (if you use any)? I'm still pluggin away with the standard set in PS7. I've seen that a few of you also made your own brushes. So i'm wondering if you'd care to share how you did it or point me(and others) to what tut you followed to construct your shiny new brush?

The last thing I made was a tifa sig for a friend pictured below

I would like to do better on my next one.

For font's dafont.com is pritty good. Devaintart is great for brushes. Have you viseted good-tuts.com?
