cPanel issue, possibly resolved?

Hey,

I just got approved for my webhosting account and was able to log into everything but cPanel. I did a search on the forums and found suggestions to try other ip addresses to log into. I tried them all and found this one that worked - http://74.86.116.190:2082

Is this ok to use, or should I change something to make the link in the confirmation email work?

When you tried logging into your cpanel what happened? logging in via the IP isnt necessarily wrong, but it means if for example we have to move your site to a different server, or, we need to change our IPs you wont be able to find it again.. Its always best to resolve issues not avoid them.

Well I believe it was telling me login failed, but when I tried the original link I was e-mailed this morning, everything worked and I was able to log in normally.

You should always use your domain link to login and not the IP.
