cPanel log in problem

Hello All,

I have not been able to log into cPanel since ever since I started my account (2 days ago). I go to the cPanel URL supplied in the sign up email(http://cvgames.x10hosting.com:2082/) and I put in the user name password for my account (assuming it's the same one as my account panel). I hit the login button and after a couple of minutes the progress bar at the bottom of my browser finishes, it says "Done", but I am still at the login page. I get no error message, no indicators of any kind. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you very much in advance, for any help.

Your hosting user name\pass might be different from your account panel.

Your account panel uses your forum login\password to login, your hosting is separate unless you used the same user\pass.

The user\pass should be in your welcome email you got when signing up. I checked your account, it is online and working.

If you absolutely can't remember your pass try logging into your account panel to change it.

Hey Corey,

I guess I was confused about what the different passwords were for. I thought that one was for the panel, and the other was for the forums. In any case, it's a moot point, because I set both to the same username and password. On your recommendation I logged into the account panel, changed the account password, then changed it back to what I wanted it to be. I still get the same behavior from cPanel. Additionally, I attempted to login using some random key strokes as the password, and got a "Login Attempt Failed" message. I then went back to using the password I had chosen, the behavior was as previously described. It looks like it should be working. The progress bar starts moving (though very slowly) and it says "Waiting for http://cvgames.x10hosting.com:2082/Login/..." in the status bar. When it finally stops and hasn't gone anywhere, it almost seems like it's some sort of time-out. Because I didn't get the "Login Attempt Failed" message when I use my password, I don't think it's a password problem. Any thoughts? Thanks again for your help,

Hey Corey,

I made it in by switching to the secure port number (and going to https). My browser got returned a bad security certificate doing that, btw. But I'm in. Thanks again for your help.
