Hello,

After login in and clicking open cpanel I keep getting the following message:

Safari can't open the page "https://xo3.x10hosting.com:2083/login/" because Safari can't connect to the server "xo3.x10hosting.com".

Something wrong with my account? Server?

Cheers

Steeve

Normally when that happens, it's because there's a firewall in the way - schools, workplaces and public access points often have port 2083 closed, and if you can't use port 2083, you can't use cPanel. If you're connecting from home, you'll need to change your firewall settings. If you're on somebody else's network (LAN or WiFi), you may have no choice (after asking nicely and being cruelly rejected, which is the nearly-universal language of the Guardians of the Network) but to try connecting from an alternate location.

Thanks for the reply. I can access the cPanel on other browsers. My machine, my WI-FI, all firewalls disabled. Perhaps it has to do with my keychain. Currently using Opera for access, I'll look into it further when I have time to do so later and keep this updated. It's simply odd that Safari simply won't display the cPanel when both Firefox and Opera do without a hitch!

Hi again, been busy.

I've looked into it and I still can't figure it out. Now I know that IT support often assumes "user error" and I don't mean that in a bad way. So I made a little video demonstrating what happens specifically using both Safari then immediately after successfully accessing the cpanel in Opera.

I notice that the cpanel logging page is different in Opera than in Safari, at least visually, could it have anything to do with that? As in Opera directing me to the right portal whilst Safari has the wrong door entirely?
