jeez, Just use XAMPP...

X - Stands for any OS.. (seriously.. from Linux, Mac OS X, to Windows and Solaris )
A - Apache
M - MySQL
P - PHP
P - Perl..

here's what it contains:

If you are just interested in displaying PHP pages that do not require a database, you can just use Apache and PHP. I do that on my PC when Im making sites, so I dont need to constantly upload them.

Try using XAMMP, though I don't recommend using it for a pernament web hosting solution, as it's really only meant for development, but give it a shot. It'll install everything and set everything up for you.
