Hiyas. How can I create custom php themes, just basic things, mainly it's so I can make my own pages/page links, I don't mind editing from an existing template, can anyone suggest a link or site that could help me? Thanks peeps.

Well, this template is for a script?, can you tell us, for example if you want to make a phpbb template, in phpbb.com in the download section( in the bottom of the page) you will find the SubSilver SDK, which can help you in the path to making your own phpbb template...

Er I am a toal newbie to php mate. I thought phpbb was ONLY the php forum. I only want the site template /theme,not a forum one. So that my home page and any other pages on the site will use that theme.

So you basically want a website template, is that correct?

There are many different sites out there offering free web templates.

Here are just a few:
Google Search: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=Free+website+Templates&btnG=Google+Search&meta=

Some Relevant Websites:
http://www.freelayouts.com/
http://www.templatesbox.com/
http://freesitetemplates.com/
http://www.steves-templates.com/

Simply download a template and then extract the files to your hard drive. Then once that is complete you can go ahead and modify the files to your liking.

Word of warning: Most templates require you to have their website link in the bottom of the page or something, so make sure you leave it on. Some template website designers allow you to remove it but most don't.

Yes that is simple too!

Once you have downloaded a template, simply open it's html page in your HTML editor. Once open, create a new PHP page then simple copy the contents of the HTML file across to the PHP file, then save the PHP file in exactly the same place.

Then you can use PHP functions within the template, such as the include for your ads etc.
