creation queue??

I have registered and verified my account over 3hrs ago and I still haven't been approved...

During peak times it can take up to one hour for your account to be created.

So what is the problem? Why am I waiting 3x the "supposed" maximum wait time?

It seems that right now the account creation queue has been paused. I don't know for what reason but typically when it is paused, there is server maintenance going on. I still see the account creation request in the system, so it has not gone anywhere.
