The site overall is pretty good, but it somehow feels a little empty... I didn't join, so I'm probably not encountering all the things a member can do and see. The first page, the welcoming page, was quite unneeded, if you ask me. I'd rather land on the homepage directly instead. Instead, if you really need the welcoming page, you could have a redirection after a few seconds after viewing it... I'm not really an expert at this, it's just my opinion. So, I hope you wouldn't take it personally if I'd say something dumb!
The content on the page is a pretty good selection of items! The AbstractBacks are indeed very nice looking. Too bad the site went down when I was just about to visit the blog section...
I'm still hoping that the website would grow a little more! But that is going to happen in the future when the site will be bustling with people... the only thing this site probably needs is something special and spicy that is different from other sites. Addicting as well... that would keep the members coming back. Maybe you or some of your colleagues could develop a game, which would be the center which keeps the masses coming to your site. Kongregate, a mini-game site, has hugely gained notoriety that way with, as an example, Dolphin Olympics 2 and their badge system with great challenges. The users would gain points and some notoriety themselves while having fun with others.
