You must be thinking of a different game; crisis core just came out this past week. (Even the japanese version came out well after the slim release.)
I'll probably pick this up this summer as I have too many console games on my plate right now. It does look like a great RPG! God of War and now this = PSP sales at all-time highs. Hopefully more developers will begin tohop on the PSP ship.
