Cron Jobs

I noticed that my cronjobs that I set from an external server don't really fire. Does x10hosting.com not allow external cronjobs? Is there a way to set Cronjobs with a free account in cpanel?

You can set Cron Jobs by using the "Cron Jobs" tool in the Advanced box in cPanel. Crons are limited to one per 5 minutes per https://x10hosting.com/support/account/plans-upgrades-explained . There may be additional restrictions such as how long they can run for, resource usage, etc.
