Rules of Crossfire

Welcome to Crossfire. This forum is the only place where heated debates and discussions ensue. With this in mind Crossfire requires a level of maturity and dedication the other forums do not have. First and foremost read the rules and regulations of X10 forums here. All the rules stated there apply to Crossfire. The Crossfire forum specific rules are below. Read and follow them.

Credit Policy
Since this forum is unique we feel that members who post here should receive unique incentives for their participation. In Crossfire members are given double the credits for the posts they make. The more you post, the more credits you gain. This also means that anyone not following the rules will be dealt with more harshly. Infractions will be given with no prior warning.

Crossfire specific rules

Do not post one line posts and/or threads.
A one word/one line post will be seen as not contributing to the forums overall goal of creating a place where members can debate one another or discuss certain topics on a level that is more sophisticated than other forums here on X10. As such one word/line threads/posts will result in an infraction.

We understand certain posts can only be made with one line. In those rare cases we will not give an infraction. However, the best way to avoid those situations is to not post a single line reply/thread.

The idea of crossfire is to try and induce a discussion. If you're going to state something try to back it up with evidence and a reason wherever possible.

Do not go off topic. Users going off topic in Crossfire will have their post deleted and infracted.

Threads should be meaningful. If you're going to start a discussion, ensure there is plenty of scope for debate. Also, due to the large amount of computer/technology related threads, please carefully evaluate whether your thread would be better placed in Computers and Technology.

Do not bump old topics. We will try and close old discussions, but please use discretion.
Be respectful to other members even if you do not agree with them.

Do not post illegal content.
Example: Warez, Places to find warez, cracks, etc.
No flaming or making personal attacks toward other members.
While this forum is mainly for debating purposes we do not tolerate such conduct. If found flaming or the like it will result in an infraction/ban. This place is meant for civil arguments and not personal attacks of any kind.

Please have fun and remember to follow the rules!
