hi, how do i set up my cs server to ftp? can i host a server on ftp so that it is always up? because my parents wont let me buy a server....

Hosting a CS server on FTP?

That makes absolutely no sense.

You need to use Steam's dedicated server option.

you need to order a server online, unless you have t1 or t3
hosting a server on a cable connection is not worth it, to much lagg, i tried it before..

this is web hosting not game hosting. go to clanservers.com and get a server there, if u dont want to waste money make on ur own computer!

They dont do anything via FTP, you just get FTP access to manage your sounds, config files, mods, etc...
and yeah, dont try to host a server at home unless you have t1 or 3 and you have your ISP's permission, or they could cancel your internet subscription if they find out

Lol I play on a 34-man zombie mod server for CS:S.. lag can get up to 600 ping per person..

If you want a gaming server, pay for one; if you don't want to pay then continue to freeload.. if you want your map to be played by other people become good friends with the admin lol
