database error in phpbb?

yesterday everything worked fine and now i want to view my forum and it gives an error that it couldn't connect to the database
does anybody know how to fix this?

Should be fixed now... the error was it was trying to use mysql.sock in /var/tmp , the file somehow got corrupt, just had to replace it.

Now that the problem's fixed, you have to move the advertiesment to a higher place on your site where the user doesn't have to scroll down to see it.
