Database server does not support InnoDB storage engine

I get the following message when I try installing Magento:

Database server does not support InnoDB storage engine

Does free hosting support InnoDB?

How do I go about solving this problem?>

I am a complete newb so please bear with me.

The MySQL DB does support the InnoDB engine. Make sure you select MySQL or MySQLi during the installation of the database.

So x10hositng.com does not support innodb? Therefore I should look for another hosting company that does support innodb?

In the post above yours xav0989 just confirmed that InnoDB is available on X10 hosting. I too can confirm this.

so how do I enable innodb?

I dont see the option to select MySQL or MySQLi during the installation of the database.
