For those that don't know what a "Dean's List" is : This list recognizes undergraduate students who took six or more credits, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 and are in good academic standing as of December 13, 2007.

I was just informed by e-mail when I logged in tonight that I had made the list. I was first informed that I wouldn't make the Fall list, because I didn't quite have the credits completed by Dec 13th, but guess they changed their mind.

This is the first time I have made any form of Honor Roll since attending school. Just wanted to share in my excitement.

At my university, they have what is called a "Dean's List" - this is released a few times a year ( Fall, Spring, Summer I believe) to showcase students that have maintained a 3.5 GPA or above and are in good standing with the school. Its a form of Honor roll, I would imagine. Its not placed on my transcript or mentioned anywhere but the e-mail I recieved and the notice on their website.

My brother has made that all through college...

He better at everything than me...

...except video games :). He tries, but I still own him every time.

Congratulations, not that my word counts as I didn't even finish High School (I did a art degree instead ;p)

To be honest, I didn't quite complete high school either. I obtained my GED as a result of a court order ( thats a long story ) ... and it took me from 17 ( when I dropped out ) to 31 years old to return to school. While in High School, I maintained a 1.5 to 2.0 GPA, if that. So to be on the Dean's list with a current GPA of 3.85, is pretty impressive.

And your words do count. You still finished SOMETHING, DefecT ... to me, that counts as something. :)

Congrats StarShine for featuring in the Dean's List.............................

Thank you Sunils. It has been a wonderful experience. My next challenge is to maintain the Dean's list and I am working towards being accepted into Psi Chi, which is the National Honor Society for Psychology.
