Delete free hosting account

Hi I requested a deletion of mu free hosting account before and the post disapeared there was a pending action in the control panel and I was cleaning up and closed it. Not sure if I stopped the deletion but would like it to go ahead. All files backed up and I realise it will be permanant. How long does it usually take as I want to start fresh as soon as possible.

PS is there a simple way to upgrade the wordpress 2.8.5 Fantastico install to 3.0.1?
